Natasha Burns Candles & Art
Candle Information
All soy candles are hand poured by me, in Melbourne, Australia.

I've worked hard on creating many of my own unique scents, as well as using some popular scents on the market. I love using unique and beautiful glassware as you will see on my instagram account.

My candles are Full Scented - and by that I mean, I use the absolute maximum quantity of scent that can be used in the soy wax - giving great scent throw, and REALLY filling a room!
Even with the lid off, and unlit, my candles smell lovely in a room.  The way I see it is, if you've got a scented candle, you need to actually smell it. What's the point of not smelling it?!

I use high quality fragrance oils designed specifically for use in candles, and mix with some essential oils too. Candle fragrance oils are the best option for safety and for maximum scent throw.

I've been making candles since 2013, selling at markets, festivals, shops and in 2019 popping up in my own shop and also shopping centres!

Candles are sold in groups of three. You can choose any three scents from THIS SCENT MENU and write them in the messages section of your order.  Your candles will be made to order, so please allow 3-4 days from time of payment, before they can be packed for mailing.

I am also happy to make up to order, in many scents, sizes and styles of decorative jars.  My prices are very affordable even with shipping for the size of candle you are receiving, so please feel free to contact me with your location/postcode if you're after a particular scent in a jar.

*CANDLE CARE*

Care instructions are on the base of every candle.  Please read the instructions!

To get the very best from your Natasha Burns soy candle, please use these tips and instructions.

Please burn the candle as long as it takes until the wax has melted all the way to the edges of the jar.  Do not extinguish the candle before the top has fully melted all the way across.  If you extinguish the candle too early, the wax will still be attached at the sides of the jar and form a tunnel.  The next time you burn the candle, it will continue burning further down this tunnel.  So it is very important to allow each burn to go to the jar edges at least.  The time this will take will vary from candle to candle, depending on the size.  This is an even more important step with double and triple wick candles.

Extinguish your candle by either using a candle snuffer, or some sort of instrument like a spoon to dip the end of the candle into the wax and back out again.  A snuffer is the preferred method as it is the neatest and cleanest.  Using a spoon/instrument may cause the wick to dirty the wax.  Do not blow out your candle as it can cause the wax to splash out, and the wick to smoke until it is fully extinguished.

Trim your candle wick between burns.  The easiest way to remember this is to trim the mushroomed part off the top before lighting each time.  Using a wick trimmer is the best option.  Another way is to use a pair of tweezers to pinch the top off.  Be careful not to trim off too much, or the candle may not light.  Leave 6-8mm of wick.

Another important tip is not to burn a candle for too long, either.  Generally, 4 hours is the maximum time to burn a candle.  If a candle burns too long, the wick can get too long and create mess, or even curl back onto itself and even disappear under the wax.

You will find the following warning label underneath each candle:

Failure to follow instructions could result in fire, hazard or injury. Never move a lit candle, or leave a lit candle unattended.  Keep away from children & pets.  Burn on a stable, heat-safe surface.   For best results, burn until wax melts evenly across container, not exceeding 4 hrs.  Keep wax pool free of debris.  Keep wick centred and trim to 6mm before lighting.  Avoid drafts.  Store in a cool dry place, away from direct sunlight.

Tins and glass jars are great for repurposing - soy wax washes out with warm soapy water (or run glass jars through the dishwasher for extra sparkle).  Tins are great for buttons, pins, earrings, rings....and the jars are good for flowers, small craft pieces etc.

"Thank you so much for the beautiful candles. They're such fab gifts, my sister is really fussy with candles because she only likes good quality and she loved them! Thank you! It normally costs the earth to buy good quality scented candles so it's good to know now that I can afford to buy them through your website! Very satisfied & will definitely be re-stocking for future gifts."
